Before yall start reading I just want to give a huge shout out and thank you to Khoi over at The Gentleman Within for blessing me with this post. We met each other at Style Con 2016 (a tie clip is what broke the ice) and we've been friends ever since. We are both up and coming bloggers, men's style enthusiast on this journey doing what we love. Support him as you support me, much love. Now, enjoy! -Ian We're about half way through Spring, but it's still fairly cool in much of the United States. Of course all the men's style magazines and brands are already pushing Summer gear. Let's slow it down a bit shall we? </iframe>" data-provider-name="YouTube" Before we jump into the list, I have two quick things to mention. First you can begin introducing lighter weight fabrics if you haven't already—think linen, chambray, seersucker and light-weight cottons. Secondly, you can start adding lighter colors like white, beige, lighter shades of versatile colors like olive, navy and gray into your rotation. Without further ado, here are my 10 men's style picks for Spring 2017.

       1. BROWN LEATHER JACKET
The first of three jackets on this list of essentials is the leather jacket. I prefer brown over black because it's versatile and more in line with my wardrobe's color palette. The leather jacket is ideal for those cooler Spring days. Pull it off and you'll look like a badass prepared for anything.
       2. WHITE JEANS
Some say men shouldn't wear white pants and I'm like, what? White is the perfect color to welcome the spring/summer seasons. A well-fitting pair can go a long way. Dress it up with a blazer or dress it down with a t-shirt. Or rock it with both for some smart casual, Spring vibes. White may be bold, but it's a statement that's worth making.
       3. SUEDE CHELSEA BOOTS
Boots for Spring? Sure you can wear boots beyond Winter, especially a pair of suede Chelseas. Remember to go for a lighter shade. I love 'em cause they're comfortable and easy to slip on and off. The Chelsea boot's minimalist silhouette, and the suede's subtle texture makes it a good pick for Spring.
       4. LIGHTWEIGHT HENLEY
The Henley is typically a banded collar, knit shirt with a placket of two or more buttons. This Spring, go for a long sleeved, lightweight cotton Henley . It's a great option for the fit man as it accentuates the muscular build you've worked so hard on at the gym. You can wear it as a base layer and throw on a vest or light jacket as the temperature cools.

       5. LIGHT WASH DENIM
I love a crisp pair of dark wash denim as much as the next stylish man, but light wash is back. Just as the weather warms, our wardrobe colors should too. Don't go too crazy with the fade, think 80s acid wash with unsightly distressing . Just remember that the lighter the wash, the more casual it is. On the plus side, light wash denim goes particularly well with a casual sneaker.
       6. LIGHT PADDED VEST
One of my favorite transitional pieces is a light padded vest. For when it's a little cooler out, a vest like the this one from J.Crew Factory will keep you warm and stylish. The best part is that it's lightweight and won't have you looking like the Michelin Man .

       7. HARRINGTON JACKET
The Harrington jacket is the second of three on my list. This jacket is a menswear staple. Originally going by the name of Baracuta G9, it’s a lightweight, waist-length jacket made of cotton, polyester, wool or suede. A distinguishing feature is its tartan/checkerboard-patterned lining. Its lightweight nature makes it an excellent layering piece. On a cooler day you'll keep warm and look cool rocking this sporty staple.

      8. WHITE SNEAKERS
Casual white sneakers were made for Spring. You can go with all white here or opt for a pair with neutral tones that can work with anything. In this case, the highly sought after J.Crew Nike Killshot 2's (unfortunately sold out as of this writing.) Casual white sneakers are a nice break from our workhorse lace ups, for days when we'd rather keep things low-key stylish.

      9. GINGHAM CHECK SHIRT
Sure stripes are great, but my pattern of choice this Spring is the Gingham check. You can't go wrong with the classic navy and blue combination, but I'm recommending a bolder color pairing of a blue and yellow . It will help to liven up those neutrals, giving an air of playfulness to your look.

       10. SUMMER WEIGHT NAVY BLAZER
Not much needs to be said for the Navy Blazer . You can't go wrong with a navy blazer over a button up and tie combo or you can lose the tie for a more relaxed vibe. Either way the navy blazer is a tried and true workhorse that can take you from the office to happy hour in good style.
 CONCLUSION
There you have it, my 10 men's style picks for Spring 2017.

I want to thank Ian for giving me the opportunity to be the first guest blogger on his site. If you're on Instagram , feel free to drop by and say what's up. Cheers to your style!
